About the Ramayana :- The Sundara Kanda is considered the heart and soul of the Ramayana, and is the only book named after a character — Hanuman himself (Sundara meaning "beautiful"). Hanuman makes his legendary leap across the ocean to Lanka, a feat that symbolizes the unlimited power of devotion. In Lanka, he searches for Sita and finds her in the Ashoka Vatika, guarded by Rakshasas. He reveals himself, delivers Rama's ring as proof, and assures Sita of her imminent rescue. Captured by Ravana's forces, Hanuman's tail is set on fire — but he uses it to burn down Lanka. This kanda is traditionally recited for protection, courage, and the removal of obstacles. It demonstrates that unwavering faith and devotion can overcome any barrier.

अयुक्तम् तु विना देवीम् दृष्ट्वद्भिश्च वानराः || ५-६०-१
समीपम् गन्तुमस्माभी राघवस्य महात्मनः |

Hearing those words of Hanuma, Angada the son of Vali spoke as follows: "Even after our seeing of Seetha, it is not proper for us to approach the high-souled Rama without taking Seetha with us."
उसकी वह बात सुनकर वाली के पुत्र ने कहा, "देवी के बिना हम वानर महात्मा राघव के समीप जाने में असमर्थ हैं।"

दृष्टा देवी न च आनीता इति तत्र निवेदनम् || ५-६०-२
अयुक्तम् इव पश्यामि भवद्भिः ख्यात विक्रमैः |

"I perceive it as improper to inform there that Seetha the princess, though seen by you of renowned prowess, has not been brought here."
यहाँ संस्कृत श्लोक का सरल हिंदी अनुवाद दिया गया है: "यह निवेदन कि देवी को देखा गया, पर लाया नहीं गया, यह आपके जैसे प्रसिद्ध पराक्रमी लोगों के लिए अनुचित प्रतीत होता है।"

तुल्यः सामर दैत्येषु लोकेषु हरि सत्तमाः |

"O the best of monkeys! No one is equal to us even in our prowess nor indeed anyone who can leap like us in the worlds either of celestials or demons."
हे श्रेष्ठ हरि, न तो आपके समान कोई है और न ही पराक्रम में कोई आपके बराबर है। आप सामर और दैत्यों में भी तुल्य हैं।

तेष्व् एवम् हत वीरेषु राक्षसेषु हनूमता || ५-६०-४
किम् अन्यत् अत्र कर्तव्यम् गृहीत्वा याम जानकीम् |

"Hanuma indeed thus killed all the warriors among the demons. What work is remaining to be done by us? We will go, after taking Janaki."
हनुमान द्वारा उन राक्षसों को मारने के बाद, अब जानकी को ले जाने के सिवा और क्या करना है।

तम् एवम् कृत सम्कल्पम् जाम्बवान् हरि सत्तमः || ५-६०-५
उवाच परम प्रीतो वाक्यम् अर्थवत् अर्थवित् |

Jambavan, the foremost among the forest-animals, understanding the sense, was very much pleased and spoke the following meaningful words to that Angada, who thus formed a resolution.
जाम्बवान्, जो वानरों में श्रेष्ठ थे, श्री राम के इस प्रकार संकल्प लेने पर अत्यंत प्रसन्न हुए और अर्थ को जानने वाले जाम्बवान् ने अर्थपूर्ण वचन कहे।

न तावत् एषा मतिः अक्षमा नो |
यथा भवान् पश्यति राज पुत्र |
यथा तु रामस्य मतिः निविष्टा |
तथा भवान् पश्यतु कार्य सिद्धिम् || ५-६०-६

"O prince! This thought you thus perceive is not incompetent of us. But, you must see the way in which Rama's inclination would be, for the accomplishment of the object."
हे राजपुत्र, मेरी बुद्धि अक्षम नहीं है, जैसा आप सोचते हैं। जैसे श्री राम की बुद्धि स्थिर है, वैसे ही आप भी कार्य सिद्धि को देखें। अर्थात, मेरी क्षमता पर संदेह न करें, बल्कि कार्य की सफलता पर ध्यान दें।
